We had a fruitful discussion, finalising the following activities:

Science lessons (classrooms):
1. Red cabbage indicator
2. Mentos & coke (to be conducted outside the classrooms)
3. Citrus light bulb
4. Ink Chromatography

Music lesson (music room):
5. Music recital by OCIP team, keyboard & guitar (huimin’s brother would be donating a guitar to HVPV)
Alternative forms of music – creating shakers (using beans & metal cans), and glass bottles (filled with different levels of water)

Teambuilding lesson (library):
6. Tallest tower 
Mini –carnival games:
1. Basketball dunking
2. Bowling
3. Cake walk
4. Can knockdown
5. Hoop toss
6. Sharpshooter

Operations Update

The Operations team has been working very hard to implement the reed bed and sand filter. We literally have a pilot plant~~

 

Vaccination!!

On 9th May, some of the Cheway-ians went for our vaccinations!! As part of the YEP requirements, all overseas participants are suppose to be vaccinated with HEP A, Tetanus and Typhoid jab. As our journey towards lending a helping hand to the Cambodians, we shall first be protected ourselves! Due to the shortage of a few vaccinations in NUH and UHC, we went to the Travellers' Clinic for the jabs :)

Werewolves!!!

On 5th May, Cheway! has gathered once again for our weekly meeting! To warm everyone up in the early morning of 9am (ok I know it might not be early to some :P ), werewolf game is being played!

Just to explain abit of the game rules, the werewolves are hidden among the innocent people and the goal is to identify the wolves before they kill everyone! After this game, we realised there are actually quite a few Cheway-ians are rather good at faking!! Better beware... LOL joking~~ Well pictures says a thousands words, so just let the pictures do the talking :)

Exam's overrrr and Cheway is back!

Summer holidays are here!!! It has been awhile since this blog is updated with the actions happening during the several meetings we had in the semester. Now that exams are over, Chem Engineers are back to path the way~

Throughout the semester, the team has been working hard in raising funds, planning of programmes, coming up with water recycling ideas, getting the logistics required and publicizing this to as many people as possible! These "blood" and sweat that we have put in will definitely make Cheway! a huge success so press on people!!
